Blood Stone has never sounded tougher or tighter than they do on Bleed Together/Get Revenge. The songs here are all fun, though “Suicide Ste. Doomed Forever finds Blood Stone doing what they do best, delivering deceptively sweet, upbeat indie pop with surprisingly dark lyrical content. If you love The Velvet Underground, Beat Happening, The Pastels, and Talulah Gosh, do yourself a favor and check this album out. You won't be disappointed. Andy Mascola
